UDHAMPUR: Minister for Planning & Development and Labour & Employment, Ajay Sadhotra, appreciated the role of private educational institutions in imparting quality education and hoped that these will continue their noble services in this regard with the same spirit and zeal. The Minister was addressing an annual day cum prize distribution function organized by Maharaja Hari Singh DAV Public Higher Secondary School, Udhampur here today. The Minister lauded the talent of the students presented through a scintillating cultural bonanza on the occasion. He said that the students of present times possess extra ordinary intelligence and knowledge and the teachers have to be more careful and attentive in shaping a bright future for these little buds. Sadhotra exhorted upon the teaching community to provide quality education to the students based upon moral values enabling them to compete at various levels in this age of competition. He said that the government has taken all possible steps to provide quality education in government educational institutions by equipping the same with well qualified staff and advanced infrastructure. While speaking on the occasion, MLA, Balwant Mankotia appreciated the school management for its professional approach towards education and stressed upon the need of promoting Dogri language alongwith other languages. Later, the Minister distributed prizes among the students who have excelled in academic and other co-curricular activities Among others, DIG, Udhampur-Reasi Ranage, Garib Dass, Additional, Deputy Commissioner, Surat Singh, SP, Benam Tosh, Chairman of the host school Management, Romesh Sharma, Chief Editor, Dainik Jagaran, Abhimanyu, students and parents were present on the occasion. |
