Samba: District Development Commissioner, Samba R.K Varma, today interacted with the civil society members representing different social, traders and political organizations of Samba town and adjoining area and listened to their problems and demands . During the meeting a number of issues like maintenance of law and order, developmental activities, problems related with the industrial pollution, depletion of ground water, involvement of PRIs in the development process, increasing incidence of thefts in the area, implementation of ban on Gutkha and its allied products, maintenance of the Historical Samba Fort, opening of blood bank., sanitation problem, Maintenance of roads especially Mansar and Sumb Road, timely supply of ration, improvement and up-gradation of the present power infrastructure and operationalization of Bus Stand etc. were highlighted. The DDC assured that all issues raised by the citizens will be attended to in a time bound manner and sought their cooperation in maintaining congenial atmosphere to take District on the path of development and prosperity.
