SRINAGAR: The Committee on Public Undertakings (PUC) of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly headed by MLA Mr. Mohammad Sharief Niaz today examined the CAG’s audit para regarding misappropriation of funds in absence of monitoring mechanism.
The Committee directed the department to conduct enquiry departmentally and furnish report to the Committee.The legislators, Mr. G. N. Monga, Mr. Ali Mohammad Dar, Mr. Abdul Gaffar Sofi, Syed Basharat Ahmad Bukhari, Dr. Shafi Ahmad Wani and Peer Aafaq Ahmad gave their valuable suggestions for further improvement in the department. Later, the Principal Accountant General, J&K AG’s office Dr. S. C. Panday gave power point presentation with regard to working of Public Undertakings and Public Accounts Committees, the auditing pattern, the mandate of audit and the communication of audit agencies with the different departments with regard to the audit paras.
Among others, Secretary Assembly M. Ramzan, Secretary CA&PD Mr. Mohammad Abbas Dar, Special Secretary Assembly Mr. M. R. Singh, Director CA&PD, Jammu Mr. G. S. Chib, Director CA&PD Kashmir Mir Mushtaq Ahmad, Additional Secretary Assembly Mr. B. L. Koul, representatives from Directorate of Accounts and Treasuries and other officers of CA&PD and Assembly Secretariat were present on the occasion. |
