| Student invites wrath of teacher, land up in hospital | | | early times report
Rajouri, July 30: A class XII students of a govt. higher secondary school in the remote Manjakot tehsil was hospitalized after she was allegedly beaten by a teacher.
The girl identified as Sazia Kouser who had reportedly undergone a surgery for Appendicitis invited the wrath of the teacher after she missed her class test.
When contacted Mohd Sadiq Ghanai , principal government higher secondary school Dehri Rehlyot in Manjakot tehsil confirmed the incident and said that an explanation in the matter from the teacher has already been sought. He further added that the matter was amicably resolved when the accused teacher along with vice principal Qayoom Shah visited the girl at district hospital.
On Monday when Sazia came to school she was reprimanded by Anayat Ahamd, lecture in English for skipping her class test the previous day. "Over this issue, as per reply submitted by the lecturer in his explanation, the girls including Sazia tried to mislead the teacher that infuriated him to raise his hand" said Principal.
Meanwhile, CEO expressed his ignorance over the incident. "The matter has not been brought in my notice. If any complaint comes to me departmental inquiry will be initiated followed by suitable action" said Pardeep Kumar Sharma, CEO.
