| Railway Police cracks mysterious murder | | Opposed to her affair, Father killes daughter | | ET Report Jammu, July 30: The Railway police have solved a mysterious murder case in which a father had killed his own daughter due to her affair with a boy of her locality. The Inspector General of Police, Railways, Kamal Saini informed that Railway police had recovered the body of Ritu Kumari, Alias Ratno 22, D/o Ram Preet Paswan of Nalanda, Bihar, presently living at Channi Rama, on May 21. After recovering the body the Investigating officer, Sub-Inspector, Jagjit Singh started investigation under the supervision of Superintendent of Police, Railways, Shiv Kumar. A 17-year old boy Raju Paswan, the boy friend of Ritu, had identified the body and informed the police that her father had killed her as he was against their relationship. After further investigation, the neighbors of Ram Preet also confirmed that he might have killed her daughter as he went to his native village on the same day. The railway police arrested the accused on Monday at the railway station as he returned from his native village. Ram Preet after killing her daughter wrapped her body in a jute bag and left it in a train standing at Jammu Railway station, and went to Bihar in Himgrii Express.Ram Preet Paswan, who is a laborer at Food Corporation of India (FCI) said, "I was drunk that time and killed my daughter as she had an affair with a boy of our locality, I had realized it later that I had done wrong." The Railway police has registered a case against Ram Preet under section 302/201 of RPC. |
