| JKATA demands review of regularization policy for ReZs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 30: Demanding regularization of those Rehbar-e-Ziraats (ReZs) who have completed 7 years of continuous service in the Agriculture Department, the Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA) today alleged that the State Government is trying to create illusion and confusion by resorting to different yardsticks for regularization of ReZs and other employees under Rehbar scheme. In a meeting of JKATA held here under the chairmanship of its president Dr Surinder Radotra, the members discussed in detail the implications of the amendments in new regularization policy and next course of action to be taken in this regard. Addressing the meeting, Dr Radotra said that State Government has framed policy in which the regularization is made after the completion of five years of continuous service on the other hand the regularization of ReZs do not fall either under Rebhar, Contractual, Adhoc or Consolidated employee category as in Rebhar policy the serving employees are regularized after span of five years and contractual or Adhoc or consolidated serving employees gets at least basic salary until they are regularized after completing seven year of continuous service. Radotra said that the state Govt has made a wrong decision by giving weightage of restricted 100 points to Bsc Agri (75pts), Msc Agri (15Pts), Phd (10pts) despite maintaining the seniority according to years of passing which is total injustice with ReZs who have completed their professional degree. He said that most of the ReZs who have attained their professional degrees from 1996 onwards are either overage or on the verge of crossing the upper age limit Radotra demanded that ReZs should be regularized giving preference to the date of passing out of their B.Sc. Agriculture Degrees in the Pay Grade Pre-revised (6500-10500 pay band 4280) and Post-revised (9300-4280-34800). |
