Jammu, July 30: The unplanned digging by National Building Construction Corporation on the way to Government Post Graduate College of Education virtually turns the road into a slush pond during rain.
While the authorities have turned a blind eye towards prevailing mess on this road, the students and lecturers have been facing hardships as it has become difficult to even go inside the college because of dug out road.
"The main road of the college was dug up for laying sewer lines but no one is bothered to black top the portion, not even the leveling has been done so far, which results in uncounted miseries for us," Ambika Sambyal, a student of the B. Ed. College.
"The work was started in March, but the agency has left it after laying Sewer lanes inside, we can't even park our vehicles inside the college, It becomes difficult to enter the college during rain," said a lecturer.
"Students hardly come to the college during rains as it becomes virtually impossible to reach," she added.
