| Threat letter' alongwith AK rounds recovered in 'RPS Rajouri' | | | ' Early Times Report
Rajouri, July 30: A letter written in Urdu warning the school management to close the school for one month was recovered along with 5 live rounds of AK rifle by the police from a room of Rajouri Public School (RPS) Rajouri, sources said. Meanwhile police has turned down it as a 'handiwork of some local' mischief mongers. According to sources the letter was written on a page of copy addressing the owner Rashid Bhat to close school for one month threatening that failing so it (the school) will be blown up. Rashid Bhat in a written complaint has informed the police which acting swiftly seized the letter and live rounds besides started a investigation in this regard. "A student saw a live round in the bag of one Bilal a student of 10th class and he informed the teacher. On further checking of the bag teacher found 5 live rounds, sources said further adding, " police was informed accordingly.' At about 1.00pm police reached the school and after opening the bag a slip written in Urdu was also found warning the school authorities to close the school for 10 days and if failed the school will be blown. Meanwhile Police has seized the letter and live AK rounds. Sources said that Bilal is a son of Special Police Officer (SPO) attached with SOG team of Rajouri police. When contacted Sanjay Sharma, DSP, Head quarters Rajouri said Bilal was sitting on back bench and to pick pen cap he went to next desk where he found a box. On opening this he saw rounds and letter and informed the teacher. "It looks a handiwork of some mischievous students who do 'not want to attend classes during prevailing scorching heat. But it is a matter of investigation from where the live rounds came" said DSP , HQ. |
