JAMMU, Sept 8: A postman was booked by police for committing fraud after a complaint was received in this regard from Assistant Superintendent Postmaster, division Akhnoor. In his complaint, the senior officer of department of Posts alleged that he was receiving numerous complaints that a postman identified as Ramesh Kumar Pandita, posted in Post Office Mishriwala was swindling the money orders of the customers.
Police sources said that the postman instead of delivering the money order to the recipients, used to deposit the amount in his own account. Police booked the postman under section 409 RPC against FIR No 157/2013. The hunt to arrest the postman was on till late hours. |
