JAMMU, Sept 8: Burglars struck a house in posh Channi Himmat locality of the city and decamped with property worth lakhs including gold, electronic gadget and cash.
According to police sources, a theft took place at the residence of one Sanjay Mave son of Late Dharm Bharat of House No 39, Sector No 1 A at Channi Himmat here in late last night.
"Thieves struck at a house in Channi Himmat area and decamped with property worth lakhs which include 80 grams gold, a LCD and Rs 10,000 in cash," sources said.
Sources further said that the theft took place when the family members were attending religious ceremony at old city adding when the family members reached home they found the locks broke open and property worth lakhs stolen. Police have registered a case and investigating the matter. |
