JAMMU, Sept 8: For giving practical exposure to the students, Aryans College of Engineering, Chandigarh organized a number of industrial visits for its 3rd year students. The students spent the day with the executives of the industries. The industries for visit were chosen according to the branches and specializations of the courses of the students. The students during the visits were given in depth insight of the various concepts in the respective Industries. Giving this information, Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said that the Electronics and Electrical students were taken to PUNCOM, Mohali; Mechanical and Computer Science students were taken to Diesel Loco Modernisation works (DMW), Patiala; Mechanical students were taken to COCA COLA Plant, Fatehgarh Sahib; Civil branch students were taken to A1 Builders, Patiala; Polytechnic Diploma students were taken to Amrit Banaspati Company, Rajpura. He added that the students were accompanied by their faculty members and officials from the company during the visits. Prof A P Jain, Director, Aryans Group said that the visits were informative and helpful in providing real life exposure to students. He added that such industrial visits would enhance the practical knowledge of the students. The various concepts being taught in the classrooms get clarified after experiencing them physically in the industry itself.
