DODA, Sept 8: In its consistent drive against the illegal trafficking of bovine animals, a police party of police station Dessa headed by SHO P/S Dessa S I Dheeraj Nagpal under the supervision of SP Doda Mohammad Arif Rishu intercepted bovines in Nilhargali area, in upper reaches of Dessa area while being smuggled into Kashmir valley through Dessa-Kapran axis. The bovines were recovered. A case FIR No 24/2013 U/S 188 RPC and 3 CLA has been registered at P/S Dessa. The main accused namely Gul Mohammad Bhat S/o Sattar Bhat R/o Kapran was arrested in the case alongwith co-accused persons namely Farooq Ahmed s/o Shafi Mir, Pervaz Ahmed s/o Maqbool, Nazir Ahmed s/o Mohd Din residents of Topneel, Mohd Rashid s/o Ibrahim Gujjar r/o Keandi Dhar and Basharat Ali s/o Roshan Sheikh r/o Gurmal. The investigation has been set into motion.
