| JU frames media policy | | | early times report
JAMMU, Sept 8: University of Jammu has come out with a comprehensive document titled `Media Policy'. Yet to be approved and adopted by the institution of higher learning, the 22-page paper contains guidelines for those staff members and other individuals associated directly or indirectly with the JU.
The document, already posted on the official website of the JU for views, also has the road map of how to treat various newspapers and journals while issuing advertisements and related material.
The document reads: "The policy defines the procedures the University community is required to follow and the responsibilities they have when interacting with the media. The Policy acknowledges the need for planning, exchange of information and communication between individual, staff and departments. Breach of this policy may be deemed a breach of the University's staff Code of Conduct and may be subject to disciplinary action".
Senior Assistants shifted, adjusted Registrar, University of Jammu, Prof Manoj K Dhar, in a recent order issued, has ordered transfers and adjustments of Senior Assistants (SAs). As per the order, Jarnail Singh, Senior Assistant at Research and Award Section has been transferred and posted in the Department of Geology in place of Zaheer Abbas. Zaheer has been shifted to Accounts-II in place of Anu Gupta, who has been transferred to Priyadarshni Girls Hostel against the available vacancy of SA.
Ajita Sharma, Head Assistant, presently working in Priyadarshini Girls Hostel is adjusted in the Examination (Under Graduate) Wing against the available vacancy.
Senior most eligible Junior Assistant (belonging to RBA category) working in Research and Awards Section is promoted as Senior Assistant and adjusted in the same Section against a vacancy.
Mohit Sharma, the senior-most Junior Assistant working in Certificate Section is adjusted as incharge Senior Assistant against the vacancy already available. He is adjusted against the available vacancy of University Guest House and posted in the same Certificate Section in place of Chanchal Kumari, who has been made Incharge Head Assistant. |
