| NSF condemns delay in enquiry report against Director TBS | | Enquiry committee asked to submit report, recommend punishment | | early times Report Jammu, Sept 8: The National Secular Forum (NSF) has urged the four-member enquiry committee, probing the alleged irregularities in Jammu University's The Business School (TBS), to expeditiously submit its report for action without delay. Addressing a press conference, NSF President Sukhdev Singh urged the four-member committee to expeditiously complete the probe within days and submit its report to the Vice-Chancellor, so that action be taken against Director TBS if found guilty of misusing the official. He alleged that it has been revealed through a RTI that Director TBS has provided its Seminar/Convention Hall to the outsiders without any written permission from the VC and without any charges. Sukhdev further alleged that irregularities and violation of University guide lines has been done by the Director TBS in the last one year. It is pertinent to mention here that VC JU had directed all the departments that no room or seminar hall shall be provided to the outside agencies without the written permission of the VC, but Director TBS has provided the Seminar/ Conventional hall to outside agencies for the book release functions free from all charges. The NSF President claimed that details of the irregularities has come in the light in a reply of one RTI that on 23-12-2012 the conference hall of TBS was made available for one outside agency for a book release function without a proper and written permission of VC Jammu University. Sukhdev further criticized director and alleged that he was not able to provide the right information to the PIO JU about the external examiners invited for the PHD final via-voice. The NSF strongly condemned the role played by the Director TBS in committing these 'irregularities and corruption.' Among those who were present in the press-conference included, Balveer Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Vikram Madhyal and Akshey Sharma. |
