Jammu, Nov 25: The Enforcement Staff led by the Chief Enforcement Officer of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today sealed the premises of Ved Kumar, behind Apsara Road, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. Already the owner of the building was booked under Control of Building Operation Act, 1988. The owner has opened a restaurant in residential building and the names of the restaurants are "New Delhi Restaurant and Royal Gulf Restaurant". The sealing has been lunched with the assistance of police force from Gandhi Nagar Police Station and force from District Police Lines, Jammu.
Besides, team also removed the encroachments from Sunder Singh Gurudwara Road especially the footpaths / pavements which was being encroached by the shopkeepers / vendors for keeping goods / articles causing inconvenience to the pedestrians and consequently obstructing the free flow of vehicular traffic.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation once again appeals to the General Public to refrain from making encroachments and unauthorized constructions otherwise action as admissible under rule leading to demolition / sealing will be taken. |
