Lalkar rally: Publicity material euphoria grips BJP leaders
Party falters, forgets to give respect to stalwarts

Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 25: The euphoria over forthcoming Lalkar rally within the state unit of BJP is at its peak, with all desperately trying to project their pictures in the loads of publicity material which is being distributed and spread all over in a frenzied manner. While some publicity material has been displayed at key points and crossings, roads and public places, more is still into making process, orders of which are being placed almost every next day, with addition of new names and their images as well. But in the whole maddening race and pace of preparing tonnes of publicity material adorned with pictures and lotuses, the leadership is making some grave blunders in omitting those who should have been among the first to find place in posters, hoardings and banners, if not on small stickers pamphlets which are in circulation among the masses.
Lalkar rally wave is gradually picking up in the winer capital as the scheduled date draws nearer, now less than a week left for the mega event convened at MAM stadium on December 1. Entire unit of the party is busy in spreading the publicity material while decorating the places with huge hoardings and putting banners across wherever it catches up the eyes of public instantly. The first impression after spread of the material so far, however, leaves one disappointed as these amply indicate the leadership or those at the helm of the responsibility have simply ignored the stalwarts who have laid down their lives for the party and given life and blood in nourshing the party not only in state but at the national level. The irony of the fact remains that these stalwarts find dignified places in the posters and hoardings everywhere across the country as and when events of such a large scale are organised but in J&K, there is no mention worth any name, leave alone printing their pictures in them.
The reference is clearly on veterans like Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay and of course Pandit Prem Nath Dogra whom the party leaders take pride in calling Sher-e Duggar, albeit only when they want this to be used as a counter political tool. One wonders why these leaders have forgotten to get printed some hoardings with their names and pictures as a mark of respect , which would have certainly added grace and honour to the names of all others who are otherwise found in every other poster and banner.
Sources within the party said there is in fact a crisis going on within the rank and file over the issue of their names and pictures not finding place in the publicity material. The whole process has not been done while giving a proper thought as to who would be there along with the national leaders inclduing of course the main star Narender Modi, said the sources adding that it is all being done a hotch potch and confusing manner as a result of which all others who genuinely deserved to be in the posters and banners have been pushed aside. It is only after some leaders come up with pressure tactics and express resentment that their pictures and designations get printed in the next order of printings, said the sources. In other words who make a hue and cry get see some material with their names and pics shortly after.
One more omission on this front is that party has failed so far in making a mention or printing any pictures of leaders from either Kashmir valley or Ladakh region, no matter it tires itself in claiming that BJP believes in giving adequate representation to all the three regions of the state. So is the case so far with women leaders and functionaries as also the communities like Anusuchit Jaties (scheduled castes) or any other community.
