Parents of drop outs seek stern action against erring Peer
Former BOPEE chief remains in police remand

SRINAGAR, Nov 25: After a local court remanded former Board of professional entrance examination (BOPEE) chairman Mushtaq Ahmad Peer to police custody for ten days, Parents of drop out students while demanded stern action against Peer for marring the career of their children.
Mushtaq Ahmad Peer was arrested on Saturday for allegedly selling the question papers of MBBS entrance examination of the years 2011 and 2012. According to the sources two other close associates of Peer who used to work as agents for him have also been arrested. The Crime Branch officials are sure that enough information in connection with paper selling scam is expected from Peer and his close associates.
They also said that enough documentary evidence has been collected after two close associates of Peer were arrested and more information in connection with the scam would be gathered in the coming days. Besides more arrests are expected.
Meanwhile the parents of drop out candidates have sought stern action against the former BOPEE chief for marring the career of their children. Some aggrieved parents while talking to Early Times said the erring Peer ruined the career of our children and facilitated admission of scores of under performers into the medical college.
Parvaiz Ahmad of south Kashmir's Shopian district said that his son who is now pursuing engineering in a college in Chandigarh appeared in MBBS entrance session of 2012 and not only his parents but also the teachers of a coaching centre in Paraypora Srinagar were sure that his son will crack the exam with a good rank.
"Since Mushtaq Peer and company had already sold the papers, my son's hard work went in vain, " he said. According to Mohammad Afzal of Pulwama his daughter can this time also pass an MBBS examination only if it is conducted on fairly. He said that his daughter this year qualified MBBS and engineering exams at national level with 90% marks but the BOPEE wasted two precious years of her life.
