Jammu, Nov 25: Inspector Ghulam Hassan Kamaal may fall in slough of despondency as PHQ did not order his independent posting. The order came to effect a few days before the said Inspector filed petition in court seeking stay order on his transfer. The PHQ ordered no independent posting to him keeping in view the record of the said inspector.
As per order by PHQ, " Inspector Ghulam Hassan Kamaal who is transferred from Crime Branch to Jammu zone on tenure basis should not be given independent posting". The order came to force owing to criminal cases pending against him. In the order it is also stated that since the said inspector is allegedly involved in cases of corruption being investigated by Vigilance Organization Kashmir (VOK) and is also accused in the death of his domestic help with his revolver.
Pertinently, Inspector Ghulam Hassan Kamaal remained in media lime light following the stay order he managed from court against his posting from PS Satwari where he was posted as SHO. Inspector Kamaal was hospitalized for a month after he received accidental bullet shot on his leg. When he came back to Police Station to resume his duty, administration posted Inspector Arvind Manhas as SHO, following which he knocked the door of court.
However, it is learnt that when Inspector was hospitalized, his seniors received order from PHQ and accordingly, he was shown the door of DPL Jammu. Inspector Kamaal was posted as SHO Satwari from Police Station Bakshi Nagar. Earlier also, during his tenure as SHO Bakshi Nagar,he remained controversial and huge protest was held against him by PHE employees when he arrested an officer of PHE on the charges of consuming liquor in official vehicle. He was forced to leave for one month and when he returned another Inspector was posted as SHO Bakshi Nagar. When two SHOs started discharging the duties of SHO, subordinates found themselves in dock. Similar position is likely to emerge in police station Satwari also.
