Mir invited to Bangkok Conference

JAMMU, Nov 25: International Union has selected Executive Director, J&K Voluntary Health Association A M Mir to attend conference at Goa and Bangkok on strategic planning for reducing consumption of cigarettes and tobacco products in India. Mir has been running a campaign to make J&K State Tobacco free, for the last several years and has been instrumental in getting a ban on Gutkha products by State Government, which has resulted in significant reduction of consumption of tobacco products in the State. Mir is also recipient of prestigious National Sanjay Gosh Award.
