Jammu, Dec 1: Lashing out at Union government, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh today claimed that government has kneeled down before China's aggression.
"Following intrusion by Chinese Army in Daulat Beg sector, Union Foreign Minister had claimed that everything had been resolved with China, but one thing I want to ask them, why Indian Army returned back from Daulat Beg sector?", he questioned, besides appreciating the people of Ladakh for hoisting national flag on independence day, despite pressure exerted by China.
Terming Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as feeble PM, Rajnath Singh further said that in October month, during his visit in Bejing, PM Manmohan Singh entered into an agreement with China. "According to section 6 of Border Defence Co-operation Agreement, there will be no use of force if Chinese Army or Indian Army cross over to other side during patrolling. Our Army never intrude to Chinese side but it is Chinese Army, which always intrude towards our side", he said, rued that such important agreement was made by Union government without taking into confidence even opposition parties.
He further said that they would raise the agreement issue in upcoming parliament session. Criticizing Chinese aggressive policies, BJP president further said that sometimes China claimed Arunachal Pardesh as its part and sometimes issue stapled visa to residents of Jammu and Kashmir. "Still Prime Minister is silent over issue, but I want to make it clear that if China will continue with such activities, they will also start issuing stapled visa to people of Tibat", he exhorted.
He further criticized Jammu and Kashmir government for not implementing 73rd and 74th amendments of Panchayati Raj institutions and for not throwing open 24 seats reserved for refugees in state assembly elections.
Lashing out at Congress for its alleged failure to curb inflation rate, corruption, unemployment beside other important problems, Rajnah Singh said that whenever Congress came to power, new records in inflation, corruption, unemployment rate were set up.
"During tenure of Atal Bihari Vajpayye as PM, they had decided to make India an economic power in 2020, but during nine years of Congress, the prominence of Indian in international platform has dwindled", he claimed. Sharpening his attack over Congress for terming Narender Modi as communal, Rajnath Singh said that only one riot took place during 12 years of chiefministership of Narender Modi.
"I want to ask Congress, who is responsible for communal clashes of 1979 held in Ahmedabad, for Sikh genocide of Delhi where thousands were killed in few hours", he asked. He further claimed that per capita income of Muslims in Gujrat was above than all other states. "Congress want to grab votes by creating a sense of fear but BJP is seeking vote by creating a sense of confidence and love", he claimed. Rajnath Singh further claimed that Congress was in depression, so was telling lies. Concluding his address, he appealed masses to vote all BJP candidates in Lok Sabha and legislative assembly elections. |
