| Block Gundna holds review of 14 line deptts with sarpanches,Panches as per Govt order | | |

Doda, Dec 1: An impressive one day interaction camp was organized by Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj Block Gundna, district Doda with the Sarpanches/Naib Sarpanches regarding the Devolution of Powers to PRIs as mentioned in Govt.
Order No:- 1126 - GAD of 2011 dated:- 22-09-2011 which was among others attended by all the Block Level Heads of 14 line departments which was chaired by BDO Gundna Aijaz Qaiser.
The interaction was aimed at bringing the Panchayat representatives and Govt. Departments on single platform to spread awareness about the various Govt. schemes and Programme being executed by various department and finding solution to the problems identified by Sarpanches / Naib Sarpanches in their respective constituencies .Many issues pertaining to different departments were being raised by the speakers including Barshalla Sarpanch santosh kumar, sadhu ram Sharma sarpanch Ghadater A, mohd shafi sarpanch Gadethar B, Koushal Kumar sarpanch parsholla A, mohd salim sarpanch parsholla B.
Block Level Officer of various department also spoke on the occasion regard's their schemes and initiative extended for strengthening PRIs which include, Community health officer Ghat, Horticulture Development Officer Rahat bashir, Gias ul Haq DSWO Doda, Sudhir Kumar AEO from agriculture deptt, Dr jameel Nasir from sheep husbandry , Mohd Amin Shah Block Officer Social Forestry, Abdul Quyoom Khan supervisor Handloom.
speaking on the occassion Block Development Officer Gundna welcomed all the Sarpanches/Naib Sarpanches and Officers on the behalf of administration and Rural Development Department Doda for one day interaction and explained in detail the policies and programmes of Govt. for strengthening the Panchayati Raj and their involvement in all the development activities at Grass Root Level.
He said that thegrievances shall be duly addressed by the concerned departments. He appreciated people for voicing their concern. He apprised THE PRI's about their rights as members of vigilance monitoring committees in effective implementation of developmental schemes. He also advised them to inspect ongoing developmental works to monitor the quality of material used.. he emphasised on certain pockets which need special attention in view of coming working season .He also encouraged people to come forward and register themselves with Employment Exchange to seek benefit under Sher-e-Kashmir employment Policy as the area being for off and percentage of BPL is high. He said that Such camps would be regular activity at all levels for the awareness of Panchayat representative and the calendar for panchayat and block level meetings in gundna was circulated among the PRI's and 14 line department. |
