| PYC extends support to candidates on hunger strike | | | Et Report JAMMU, Dec 6: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress extended its support to the short-listed candidates for the posts of jail warden who are sitting on hunger strike for the last six days in front of Press Club Jammu. They are demanding early release of the final selection list, which was pending for the last more than three years. PYC Vice President Pranav Shagotra, General Secretary Manjeet Singh Jatt and General Secretary Assembly Hiranagar Romi Sharma visited to Press Club and met with the striking candidates and listen their demand. They said the short listed candidates for the posts of warden were interviewed in September 2010 but the final selection list has not been released till date and this delay can spoil the life of some of the candidates who are nearing to be over-aged. Pranav Shagotra and other PYC office bearers while extending their support said that the demand of the striking candidates is quite genuine and should be accepted by the Govt. without further loss of time, adding that any further delay in the process will create doubts over the sincerity of the Govt. towards educated unemployed youth of the State and on the part of people of the helm of affairs. |
