| Leela Karan challenges Omar for debate on Article 370 anywhere in J&K | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 6: Bhartiya Janta Party leader Leela Karan Sharma today challenged Omar Abdullah regarding a debate on abrogation of Article 370 within state. Sharma has reacted over a statement of Omar Abdullah which he made yesterday challenging Gujarat Chief Minister and Bhartiya Janta Party Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to debate on Article 370. Omar had said that he (Omar) is ready to debate on the importance of 370 anywhere in the country especially Gujarat's Ahmedebad city. Omar had further challenged the Prime Ministerial candidate saying that those who know least about the article are commenting on the abrogation of Article 370, linking the Lalkar rally of Modi in Jammu. Replying to the statement of Omar Abdullah, Leela Karan Sharma said, "Omar need not to go outside Jammu and Kashmir for debate on Article 370. Well competent and witty personalities are present in the state to debate on the same". Sharma challenged that Omar would not be able to compete within the state with these witty personalities. "Why Ahmedabad or any other city of Gujrat and why not Jammu or Srinagar", Sharma questioned Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. "I am ready to confront him (Omar) anywhere in the state on any channel, any forum if Omar wishes to come", added Sharma. Sharma said that public is well aware of the sufferings of the residents of the state due to the Article 370 in the state and alleged that it is the National Conference and Congress Government which is responsible for the suffering of different communities. |
