| Lake action against private schools for violating Govt orders | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Dec 6: Taking serious note of complaints regarding some Private Schools which are defying Government Orders regarding the closure of schools in connection with winter vacations, the Director School Education Kashmir Mir Tariq Ali has clarified that the Government order of winter vacations applies to all Government as well as Private Schools across the Valley. He said that all the Chief Education Officers have been given clear instructions to ensure the implementation of the said order and identify all those schools which are defying it.
The Director has directed Chief Education Officers to forward the cases of all such schools to Directorate for necessary action.
Meanwhile, the Director has constituted a team of senior officers headed by Joint Director Schools for this purpose. The team conducted surprise inspection of various Private Schools of Srinagar City and found that no private school was functioning except Al-Noor at Dana Mazar and Salfia School Srinagar.
He said that show cause notices have been issued to these schools in this regard and have been asked to explain their position within two days. The Director further said that checking squads for ensuring implementation of orders regarding winter vacations and coaching centres shall continue their job vigorously. |
