KATHUA, Dec 6: National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) of the Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation today completed three days regional training camp on NSS 71st Round at Jammu today. NSS 71st Round is earmarked for the survey on "Health and Morbidity" and "Education and IT Literacy" with a survey period of six months starting from January, 2014. The information will be collected through different schedules covering list of households, Health and Morbidity and Education and IT Literacy. Main objective of the survey is to provide data to policymakers, planners and other research users at national and international level. The training was imparted to the field staff engaged in data collection work of centre and state by Dr. Shailja Sharma, Deputy Director General, V.K.Malla, Superintending Officer and S.L.Khajuria, Superintending Officer. During the camp, the training was provided on concepts and definitions, technical terms and contents of the various schedules to be used in the survey. The programme also covered practical training, feedback and quiz session to assess the understanding of the field investigators. The camp concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri M.K. Raina, Superintending Officer. |
