Jammu, Dec 6: Nowabad police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered around 1 kg charas from his possession.
Police identified the arrested drug peddler as Saddam Hussain, resident of Doda. Police spokesman said that on specific information a trap was laid by a team led by Station House Officer (SHO) Nowabad JP Sharma and in-charge police post Talab Tillo SI Vikrant Singh and trapped Saddam.
“During frisking, team recovered around 1 kg charas from his possession which he had come to distributed among the local agents”, said JP Sharma, SHO Nowabad.
He further said that the arrested peddler used to bring the consignment in Jammu from Srinagar for further distributing it among the Jammu based associates.
“Questioning of the arrested is on to ascertain the identity of other associates of Saddam”, said JP Sharma. |
