| Chinar primary school celebrates annual day | | | Early Times Report
NAGROTA, Dec 6: Chinar Primary School, the junior wing of Sainik School Nagrota today celebrated its Annual Day function.
A colourful variety entertainment programme and academic prize distribution function was held to mark the occasion. The proceedings began with lighting of the sacred lamp by Col Kapil Dev Koushal, Chairman of the school. Poornima Srivastava presented welcome address and Neena Kaushal, Headmistress presented the School Annual report and highlighted the achievements of the school during the current academic session.
A colorful cultural programme consisting of Welcome Song, Hindi Skit, Modelling, Dogri Dance, Bhangra Remix etc were presented by the young children of the school amidst great applause from the audience. It was followed by Academic Prize Distribution function.
The Chief Guest Col Kapil Dev Koushal gave away the prizes to the toppers of each class for their meritorious performance in academics and other competitions. Nehru House won the Cock House Trophy for the session 2012-2013.
In his address, the Chief Guest complimented the prize winners for their outstanding performance in academics and emphasized the significant role played by parents, teachers and the environment in grooming the children. A number of other distinguished guests and parents were present to witness the Annual Day Function which turned out to be a resounding success. |
