Bani, Dec 6: Notwithstanding the PWD and administration of district Kathua claims that due attention was being paid towards developmental activities in far-flung tehsil Bani, the 2 kilometer Lowang Idgah to Khurwah Bhag road, a vital connectivity to the area housing thousands of inhabitants has been neglected by the authorities and caused inconvenience to locals.
Locals expressed their strong protest against the negligence and hollow claims of the PWD and district administration for bringing the dilapidated condition of the said road since 1996 when its construction was started and inspite of elapsing of this huge time span the road is still unfinished and has forced the people to face hardships.. The protestors Haji Abdul Quyoom Malik, Siraj Din Malik, Bashir Malik, Ahmad Husain Malik, and Shahid Malik allege that despite many representations to the district administration and politicians, nothing has been done to repair this road and said the PWD department. |
