| SEECC holds meeting at Billawar | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 6: School Education Employees Coordination Committee (SEECC) today held one day meeting at Billawar. The meeting was presided over by Provincial Chairman Kuldeep Singh. Amarnath Thakur was the Chief Guest while ZEO Malhar Khazan Chand was guest of honour. Many Headmasters, Lecturers, Physical Education Lecturers, Teachers and RET regularized teachers participated in the meeting and expressed their views regarding their problems. Speaking on the occasion, Thakur said that GPF of teachers of Malhar has been credited into their GPF accounts for year 2012-13 in August 2013 after the teachers protest at Kathua but still the GPF of some Masters / Teachers has not been adjusted which is a matter of concern. He said that DC Kathua has conducted the inquiry and action is likely to be taken against the officials of ZEO Malhar, J&K Bank Billawar and treasury officer Billawar on the basis of inquiry report. He also said that vigilance organization is also conducting the same inquiry and district leaders have got their statements recorded in the vigilance office Jammu and also has submitted relevant documents for proper inquiry. Teacher's hoped that the culprit would be brought to book and justice will be provided to teachers. The interest on their GPF was also demanded by the teachers. Teachers also authorized Kuldeep sing and Amarnath Thakur to constitute School Education Employees Committee to start an organized anti-corruption movement in the department to expose the black sheep in the department. Kuldeep Sing in his address assured all the teachers and lecturers that their demands will be taken up at the higher level for appropriate action at the earliest. Karpal Singh Headmaster, Subhash Chander, Vikram Singh, Vijay Sharma, Girdhari Lal, Mohammed Salim, Mast Ram, Sunil Kumar, Romesh Kumar and Ajit Sing also spoke on the occasion. |
