Reasi, Dec 6: District Administration has established a composite inter-departmental Anti-Encroachment Cell at Katra to check unauthorised and illegal constructions in the holy town and area notified under Master Plan 2020.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajinder Singh Tara accompanied by DTO Arshad Choudhary, SDPO Dr Mohd Saleem, Tehsildar Rajiv Mangotra and Naib Tehsildar Gian Chand inaugurated the Cell which has been jointly set up by the Revenue Department and District e-Governance Society. According to official spokesperson the Ant-Encroachment cell is comprised of officers from departments of Revenue, Forest, Police, Rural Development, PWD, Katra Development Authority and Municipal Committee. Members of the cell include CEO KDA, SDPO Katra, BDO Reasi, Range Forest Officer Katra, Naib Tehsildar and AEE PWD and have been provided a mobile handset along with prepaid SIM card for receiving complaints from public. "These numbers have been displayed in public domain. A dedicated landline number has also been provided at the Ant-Encroachment Cell, official added. For ensuring proper monitoring at district level online reporting system and compliant conferencing system has also been set up. Once received the complaint will be conveyed to all concerned through conference and also communicated to the monitoring cell constituted in the office of Deputy Commissioner for redressal. Complaints can be registered on landline number 232224 (Landline), 9906159921 (CEO KDA), 9906164526 (Tehsildar Settlement), 9906159443 (Municipality), 9906198528 (Forest Range Officer, 9419137172 (SHO) and 9419969175 (SDPO). The officers will have these numbers on permanent basis as a part of Cell appointed by virtue of post. Among those present on the inaugural occasion were officers from various departments and prominent citizens including Sham Lal Kesar, president Hotel & Restaurant Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma President Indian Style Wrestling Federation, Shanker Dogra, Verinder Kesar, Babu Ram Dubey, Pujari Vaid among others. |
