| PDP accords rousing reception to Swami Raj Sharma | | | Early Times Report
Bhaderwah, Dec 9: People Democratic Party (PDP) workers today accorded a rousing reception to Swami Raj Sharma, former bureaucrat and close associate of Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad, who has recently joined PDP. According to press release, a large number of PDP activists received Swami Raj Sharma at Drudu village by garlanding them profusely and later he came to Dak Bunglow. An interaction session was organised with elected booth level delegates of the Bhaderwah assembly by PDP workers with Sharma .The function held under the chairmanship of PDP contesting candidate and senior leader Sheikh Mehboob Iqbal who while speaking on the occasion hailed the decision of Swami Raj Sharma in part fold . He criticized Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad and MLA/MLC Bhaderwah for failure on fronts in mitigating the burning issues of Bhaderwah constituency and added that truth is that they has lost ground in whole constituency as they have failed to come up to the expectations of general public. "There is no sign of government in the Bhadarwah constituency as MLA/MLC Bhadarwah never raised any issue of his constituency in recently concluded session while people are facing the problem of electricity, water supplies, ration, shortage of doctors and all road projects are at a standstill. Shortage of health services has made life of people hell in Bhadarwah town miserable, as without any reason hospital was shifted to a far off area from the heart of town" he added. PDP senior leader Seikh Mehboob Iqbal also alleged that corruption was on rampant in various departments of Bhadarwah constituency. "During tenure of Congress the government has shifted many government offices from Bhaderwah to other places like polytheistic college", he said. Abdul Hafeez Wani , Thakur Yudvir Singh Baloria , Shokat Malik , Abdul Hamid Ganai , Pritam Kotwal , Adress Malik , Dimple Kotwal , Kewal Krishan Sharma also spoke on the occasion. |
