| ABVP protests over lack of sanitation in GDC Kathua | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Dec 9: Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua today demonstrated and blocked the road in front of college against lack of sanitation in the college.
Leading the protestors, ABVP College Unit President, Ankush Mehta alleged that the college is lacking on various issues. He alleged that administration remained failed to provide clean water to Boys hostel, window panes of the class rooms are broken while the class rooms are without desks.
While speaking during the protest the students said that college has only three water coolers out of which two are totally out of order and only one is functional which is not sufficient to meet the requirement while the desks are also at large scale lacking and windows are without glasses due to which students are forced to face the hardships. Several times, the students taken up the matter with college principal but he failed to take necessary action in this direction so far.
ABVP warned that students will continue their protest till the demands are not full filled. Others who were present included Pankaj Punia, Rahul Sharma and others. |
