Hiranagar, Dec 9: Member of Legislative Assembly Subash Chander Gupta today distributed relief material including quilts and blankets to around four hundred beneficiaries hailing from villages of Kadyala, Gujar Chak, Chak Changa, Chan Tanda ,CHak Bhagwana and Gangu Chak. Gupta said that the people residing on the border have been suffering great hardships due to unprovoked firing by Pakistani rangers and army on the border since 1947. He appealed the state and central government for allotting the 5 Marlas of land to these peoples on the safer places, so that in case of any disturbances at border they can shift their families to these places. He also demanded for the immediate release of payment of compensation of land which the people have given for DITCH, BUNKERS, BOP's, for laying of mines. |
