| Emboldened by victory, BJP to fully concentrate on JK elections | | | Et report
JAMMU, Dec 9 : Emboldened by Party's landslide victory in three states and satisfactory performance in New Delhi, BJP in J&K intends to fully concentrate on the upcoming Assembly elections. The Party leadership is in high spirits after the landslide victory of the Party in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and its satisfactory performance in Delhi Assembly elections and it has decided to launch a state wide campaign to unseat the NC- Congress coalition from power. Sources said the BJP state President Jugal kishore Sharma who was also summoned to New Delhi to discuss the outcome of elections in four states and discuss future strategy has been given a green signal by Party High Command to start the campaigning in the state keeping an eye on Lok Sabha and Assembly elections to be held next year. Sources said unlike past BJP this time will also make its presence felt in state politics to be a decisive factor in Government formation and Party will fully concentrate on two regions of state including Jammu and Ladakh to wrest maximum seats from the coalition partners. Sources said BJP leadership has asked Jugal Kishore Sharma to gauge the mood of the people and send the Party cadres to length & breadth of the state to garner people's support for the party to ensure its victory in coming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in J&K. Sources said the sister organization of BJP have also been given directives from their High Command in Delhi to work for BJP's victory in coming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the state. Meanwhile the younger generation in BJP is not averse in joining a coalition with any other Party which believes in unity and integrity of India and respects the Indian constitution. This group has even urged the Party High Command not to remain stick to its old policy in Government formation in J&K and play a positive role in this regard, sources added. Sources said the youth leaders of the Party are also of the opinion that in Government BJP can solve the problems of the people, settle some unsettled issues hanging in balance for last over 60 years and there by earn the support of people. These leaders have also informed the High Command that there is a opinion in the state that BJP can't come to power in J&K hence they prefer other parties. |
