| MLA distributes 'relief fund cheques’ at Ramban | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, Dec 13: Expressing gratitude towards chief Minister Omar Abdullah for permitting the use of the CDF amount of the state MLAs to help shelterless on pattern of IAY (indira Awaas Yojna), MLA, Ramban, Ashok Kumar today distributed relief cheques among poor and shelterless under the BPL category to have their shelters. He distributed the authority letters of Rs75,000 each among the 34 beneficiaries most of whom were handicapped belonging to BPL category of Ramban district in a function organize at Rural Development Department(RDD) Complex in Ramban today.
Out of the total sanctioned 45 cases only 34 persons were present and the rest shall be presented the authority letters separately, said spokesperson. Besides this MLA also presented a cheque of Rs 25,000 sanctioned from the CM's Relief Fund to the next of kin of the two deceased sisters and one Kuldip Singh (girls died in lightening incident at Duksan Dhandrat while the Kuldeep Singh died at at Baghlihar Hydel Project).
ACD, BDO, Executive Engineers and other concerning officers local Sarpanches, Panches and prominent citizens were also present in this ceremony. |
