| All India NHPC workers hold meeting | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 13: All India NHPC Workers and Employees Federation today held meeting at Jammu under the chairmanship of Ravi Kumar.
According to press release, Ravi Kumar said that during the meeting many issues were discussed, the representatives highlighted the issues of workers/employees being faced by them at present also the issues related to the contract workers working in NHPC were discussed and expressed concern over their exploitation by the employers/contractors. He further said that the management to finalize PRP, conveyance, electricity at high altitude of workers immediately and implementation of labour laws. He said that the management failed to settle the emergent issues we will have no any other option except to go on any drastic action. While concluding the meeting MRSalalia stressed upon the central government and all states governments to give all hydroelectric project to NHPC for early execution and completion of hydro power projects in the interest of nation and states and development of nearby areas which was passed unanimously.
