| Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan celebrates Geeta Jyanti | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 13: Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan today celebrated Geeta Jyanti at Kendriya Vidyalya No. 1 Gandhi Nagar Jammu. Romi Amrit, Incharge Principl, K V No. 1, Jammu was the Chief Guest and Prof. Yash Pal Khajuria was the Special Guest on this occasion. Prof. P N Shastri presided over the programme. A competition of Geeta Shloka Recitation was organised in this context. The programme, as per the release, started with the lighting of lamp. The students of K V No.1, Jammu presented welcome song in Sanskrit. Primary and Middle class students of six Kendriya Vidyalayas No.1 & 2, Jammu, Nagrota; Sunjuwan; Bantalab and Damana participated in different catagories of this. The prizes by the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan were distributed amongst the winners. Romi Amrit, in her address said that it is a welcoming step that the institutions like Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan are imparting a valuable role in promoting Sanskrit and providing opportunity to the children to recite Geeta Shlokas in a proper manner. Prof. P N Shastri appreciated the efforts made by the children to come forward to recite the shlokas beautifully. He added that in future more and more such events will be organized for the benefit of the school children. The students of the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Jammu assisted in the conduct of this programme which was compared by Sushma Sharma and Dr. Madan Lal Jka. Dr. Jagdish Raj Sharma extended the Vote of Thanks. |
