| ABSMS calls on Deputy Director Local Bodies | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 13: Civic workers under the banner of Akhil Bhartiya Safai Mazdoor Sang (ABSMS), on the sixth day under the Presidentship of Dev Anand Gill today called on Deputy Director Local Bodies, Vinod Kumar at his office chamber.
The organisation apprised director about the grievances of municipal committees. Gill said that the Safai Karmarcharis working in various committees had not received their monthly salaries form last 6 months for permanent and 4 months for casual labours.
Expressing helplessness of employees of the department, Gill said that the month of December is very important for their community because of Christmas and is very sad that government has not paid any heed to address the problem of the society.
After hearing the deputation, as per the release, Kumar said that funds have already been sent to the treasury and their salaries would be released shortly.
He also appealed the agitator to call off their strike but the employees said they will call off the same after receiving the pending dues.
