| Mobile Magistrate Transferred | | Sopore Ambulance Case | | early times report
Jammu, Dec 13 (JNF): Taking strong exception to the death of a man at Sopore after a traffic police man stopped the ambulance carrying him to the hospital, the Chief Justice appointed Justice Hasnain Masoodi as an enquiry officer into the matter.
The High Court also took serious note of registration of FIR against the magistrate without the permission of the court. It is a condition precedent for formal registration of any case against a Judicial Magistrate to obtain a prior permission from the High Court is well settled law.
Meanwhile, the Registrar general ordered immediate transfer of the Mobile Magistrate, Sopore and posted him as Munsiff Mahanpur. He was further directed to move after handing over the charge to available judicial officer at the headquarter. |
