| Jawala Ji Samiti urges for passage to 'Shrine Bill' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 13: Jawala Ji Samiti, Khrew, Kashmir (Camp Office Jammu) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its President, MK Raina and discussed various issues pertaining to community and urged upon the state government to pass the Shrines and Temples Bill, pending consideration in the Legislative Assembly so that religious cultural heritage is persevered in valley. During the meeting members also took serious note of the alleged interference of some influential parties in the affairs of the Asthapans of exiled community in Valley and cautioned such individuals not intervene in working of the different organizations viz. Asthapans/Shrines, particularly in the elections of Zeashtha Devi Prabandhak Committee. Members also said development at respective Sansthas viz. Zeashtha Devi, Jawala Ji, Nag Dandi, Nagbal Anantnag, Lukbhawan etc is an eye opener for such individuals as there is no role for them to intervene in the affairs of these Asthapans. Members impressed upon the Government to pass the Shrines and Temples Bill, pending consideration in the Legislative Assembly. It was also impressed upon the administrative agencies to keep strict vigil on elements that are eyeing on the lands associated with temples. |
