| Woman murdered for Rs 70 lakh, 2 relatives held | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 13:Following the disclosures of two detained youth, police cracked a murder case and recovered the body of the deceased woman, who was missing since December 11, from Galak in Kathua. Police sources said that on December 11, a missing report of Nargis (64) a retired teacher was lodged by her husband, Mohammad Sahid Choudhary in Peer Mitha police station. Sources further stated that during investigation role of three youth who are relatives of the family surfaced and police successfully detained two of them. Two of the detained have been identified by the police as Rahat Munshi, a resident of Kishtwar presently at Marble Market and Sohail of Rajbagh. Police sources said that the woman sold her property in Panjthirthi worth around Rs 70 lakh and she had been lured by her three relatives for cheaper property on Kathua. Later, she carrying Rs 70 lakh went to district Kathua for buying property along with her relatives who murdered her there and threw her body in a nullah so that she could not be identified. Police sources said that during questioning the detained youth broke down and disclosed that they murdered the woman to get the cash which she had carried. Later on the disclosures of the detained youth Peer mitha police recovered the body of th edecased from a nullah at Galak in Kathua. However, senior police official evaded the query in this regard over phone and said they will inform media later.
