JAMMU, Dec 20: With girls' team left with little hope, the J&K boys were still in the race to qualify for the pre-quarterfinals when they take on Gujarat in the last group-D tie in the ongoing 59th National School Games under-19 Volleyball, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at MA Stadium, here tomorrow. Making a winning start against Chattisgarh yesterday, J&K boys today lost to Andhra Pradesh. Now, left with only game, hosts hopes for a win when they face Gujarat in the afternoon session tomorrow. The J&K girls lost their second consecutive game to Maharashtra today. Earlier, in their first outing, J&K suffered a defeat in the hands of Rajasthan. Now, in the last game, J&K has been pitted against Tamil Nadu. Earlier, during the day, chairman of the organising committee, Director General, DYSS, Navin Aggrawal visited the venue and interacted with the visiting team. The School Games Federation of India (SGFI) observer, Prashant Trivedi also appreciated the arrangements made by the host for the smooth conduct of this mega event.
