First ever placement drive under Project UDAAN held at GDC Billawar

Jammu, Dec 20: The very first of its kind placement drive was held in tehsil Billawar under UDAAN Project by Government of India was held in Govt Degree College Billawar here today. According to official spokesperson, "UDAAN is a partnership between Future Group & National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) for the youth of J&K and under this partnership Future Group is providing a specialized 4 months 'Certificate Program in 'Retail Management' / 'Legal Assistant' / '4G Customer Service'.
"A stipend of Rs. 2500/- per month will be paid during training period along with free boarding, lodging and meals. After successful completion of the program, candidates would be provided with an opportunity to take up jobs as "Retail Executive", "Legal Assistant" and "4G Customer Services Executive" in companies like Future Group, Vishal Mega Mart, Reliance, Aircel, Districts Legal Authorities (Maharashtra), Pigeon industry etc, he added
He also added over 120 candidates participated in the said drive who have been selected through a written test of Objective Type Questions in English, Math, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and Legal Awareness followed by Group discussion and interview. This is the first time that such a placement drive is held in tehsil Billawar under UDAAN Project.
Principal, Dr BL Gupta addressed the aspirant to avail this opportunity with zeal, dedication and sincerity and wish them all the best for their future career. He also thanked the Future Group team members for choosing venue of Govt. Degree College for conducting placement drive. The whole program was organized by college placement team in association with Future Group. Convener, College Placement Cell Prof Joginder Kumar during this initiate was assisted by Ajit Radotra, Rahul Sharma, Megha Mahajan and Nidhi Jasrotia.
