| Signature campaign launched by SDSS, IDP | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Dec 20 : To press the government for conceding their demand of improvement of District Hospital Kathua, a signature campaign was started by Sarv Dharam Seva Samiti and International Democratic Party (IDP) in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park at Kathua here today. On the occasion hundreds of people joined the signature campaign and marked their signature on very first day. Speaking on the occasion IDP National President I.D Khajuria and District President of Samiti Robin Sharma the state government has totally been failed to take the matter of development of the District Hospital Kathua on preriority due to which the condition of the hospital day by day is deteriorating. They said, "Health minister" has been claiming priority for sector and government has been working towards bringing modern medical facilities and improving infrastructure in urban as well rural areas of the region. But the thing is that the medical facilities and improving infrastructure is still at blur for the poor patients". They further raised the point that there is no doubt that the health department is developing the infrastructure of buildings. Despite there is no fun of developing the same if they lack in providing medical facilities. Rued over the lackadaisical attitude of the state government he said as far as the district hospital is concerned there is acute shortage of doctors and paramedical staff. They said that after the completion of the campaign, the memorandum will be handed over to Health Minister to apprise him regarding the facts and the problems that people are facing.
