| People of Bhunzwah rues poor services of PDD, held protest againist department | | |

Kishtwar, Jan 5 : People of Bhunzwah area of Kishtwar district rued the poor services of Power Development Department and held a strong protest against the department for their failure in restoring the power supply in the area.
The people alleged that the department has failed to provide them regular power supply and instead charge full amount as a rent from them.
They said that electricity played hide and seek game with the people of the area having population of over 20000 souls. They said that despite repeated request to the officials of the department, the department fails to address the public grievances.
They said that the transmission lines in the area are hanging with trees and there is no system in place to check the open threat of life to the people looms in the area due improper transmission system.
They said that since last 15 days the area has no electricity and urged upon the government to push their concern officials for early restoration of electricity in Bhunzwah area and its vicinity. |
