Samba, Jan 15: In its continuous drive against the illegal trafficking of bovine animals, Police today foiled two smuggling bids in Samba districts, police said. According to police reports from Samba said that Police Party of Police Station Ghagwal headed by Inspector Anu Kumar SHO P/S Ghagwal under the direct supervision of Anil Magotra, Superintendent of Police, Samba intercepted Mahindra load carrier (JK08C/2914) at Jatwal. "The vehicle was found loaded with 05 bovine animals which were being transported illegally without permission from Kathua to Jammu, police said. A case against FIR No. 07/2014 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PC Act, 184 MV Act has been registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation has started in this regard. Yet in similar incident, police party from Police Station Vijaypur headed by Inspector Mohd Iqbal SHO P/S Vijaypur intercepted a Tata Mobile (JK08C/9507) during surprise Naka checking at Vijaypur Chowk and found 05 bovine animals being transported illegally without permission from Kathua to Jammu. A case against FIR No. 12/2014 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PC Act, has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and further investigation is on. |
