| 4 hospitalized for burn injuries | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 15: Four persons including three persons of a family where hospitalized after they received severe burns in separate incidents at different places in Jammu region. Police sources said that three persons of a family received severe burns when the bed on they were sleeping caught fire in an accidental fire in Basholi. The victims have been identified as Govind Singh (32) son of Thakuar Dass his wife Rekha Devi (28) and their minor (3 yrs) daughter Litly, all residents of Basholi. Police said that after hearing the screams other family members immediately rushed to their room and shifted them to nearby hospital. After preliminary treatment, the injured were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) for advanced treatment. Police said that Govind received 90 percent burns on his body while Rekha received 82 percent and Litly 10 percent. Police said that condition of Govind and Rekha was stated to be critical when last reports came in. Meanwhile, an infant 6 months old boy received 20 percent burns when he accidentally fell into hot water at their residence. The victim identified as Kanu son of Tara Chand of Ram Nagar was shifted to GMC&H for treatment by his family members owing to his critical condition. |
