| Ex Paramilitary lot demands benefits at par with other Defence forces | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 15: Alleging central government failed to consider the demands of ex-servicemen of paramilitary forces, All Jammu and Kashmir Paramilitary Forces Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association (JKPFESWA), Jammu today demanded the facilities and other benefits as granted the concerned State and Central Government as applicable to the Ex-defense forces personnel. The organization has submitted charter of demands to state and centre through proper channel. In a press conference here today J S Bajju, President of All Jammu and Kashmir Paramilitary forces Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association (JKPFESWA), Jammu highlighted demands of the ex servicemen of paramilitary forces. Bajju castigated the State and Central Government for their lackadaisical approach to recognize the services of Ex- Paramilitary forces personnel as par with the Defence forces. "Despite many representations in this regard, the State and Central Government failed to consider the demands of Ex-servicemen of Paramilitary forces, he added. J S Bajju also informed that in this regard they have presented a charter of demands for the Central and State Government for immediate consideration. The charter submitted to state government highlighted various demands like 20% reservation to be allotted to all the Para military forces Ex Servicemen persons ward for employment in the State Government of J&K; Provision of 15% quota for railway reservation for the Ex-Servicemen personnel of CAPF; Ex-Servicemen CAPF Persons Board may be authorized/established at District level; Free medical facility in State Government hospitals and award of Rs 50000/- from State Government to the personal awarded with gallantry award and VAT exemption on CSD Canteen items may be accorded to the Ex-Servicemen Central Armed Police Force Persons. Meanwhile demands highlighted to union government i.e. Ministry of Home Affairs included Revised pension cases accordance to the Sixth Pay Commission to the Ex-Servicemen Central Armed Police Forces prior to 2006 and onward till date emerging grade pay is not settled by the Finance Ministry; One Rank/one pay may be provided to the CAPF persons as being provided to the defense pensioners; Pension to be fixed on last revise pay scale after retirement as being paid to Army Personnel and Medical allowance to be raised from Rs. 300 to Rs. 1000. |
