Jammu, Jan 15: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today formally launched its membership campaign in Jammu by organizing a function at Jammu club today. Prof. Ajit Jha was main speaker on the occasion, who dwelled in detail about the vision of AAP and its planning for upcoming Lok Sabha elections. "AAP central leadership has launched membership campaign from January 8 and have decided to make around 1 Crore members till Janauary 26", he said, and appealed all the assembled people to start membership campaign on their own. "AAP is a movement and to be a part of movement, one can download membership forms from AAP website and register as more members as can", he said, adding that people could also send nominations for upcoming Loksabha elections, but after proper scrutiny of nominations, formal nomination would be given, if required. Large number of people including students, social activists, youth besides others round up in the meeting and emphasized over the need for launch of AAP unit in state. There seemed lack of planning to conduct the debut programme of AAP in Jammu, which witnessed overwhelmed response from people, who came to function without any formal invitation.
