| MDF alleges irregularities in office of RCM | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 19: Alleging that office of the Relief Commissioner Migrants, Jammu has become a hub of corruption where destitute Kashmiri Migrants are exploited and harassed by a group of employees and their agents, the Muslim Development Forum (MDF) J&K has urged the government to take notice of the irregularities and take action against erring officials. In a press release issued here today, President MDF, Syed Shabi Ahmad Shah J&K said that the elderly persons, widows and even freedom fighters and known social workers who are the victims of militancy are not spared by the staff of Relief Commissioner's office. He said that the aggrieved migrants are not allowed to meet Commissioner as the staff deliberately denies permission to the complainants in his office on the pretext that Sahib is busy in meeting. Shah further added that the modus operandi of corrupt office employees and their agents is that, first they themselves or through their agents make fabricated and fake complaints against the poor migrants and stop their relief and after undergoing an exhaustible procedure of verification report is sought through CID & Police. He appealed the Omar Abdullah to take stern action against the infamous corrupt officials of Relief Commissioner Migrant office Jammu and effective measures for the sake of transparency the identity of fake complainants be disclosed for initiating legal action against them. Corrupt officials / employees should be transferred immediately. |
